Na konci března Google rozšířil vyhledávání o “+1” – možnost označovat obsah, který “doporučujete” ostatním (viz Google +1 rozšiřuje sociální funkce Google, konkurence Facebook Like to ale není). A dnes přichází očekávané rozšíření, “+1” pro webové stránky.
Google +1 by se měl objevit na partnerských webech (Mashable, Huffington post, Rotten Tomatoes, O’Reilly, Reuters, Washigton Post, Best Buy, TechCrunch, Bloomberg a další) a také na některých z webů společnosti Google – mezi prvními by měly být Android Market, Blogger, Product Search a YouTube.
Pokud chcete +1 doplnit na vlastní web, tak Google nabízí návod zde – pro implementaci využívá “vlastní HTML značku” – g:plusone – tedy velmi podobný způsob, jakým Facebook poskytuje Like prvky (používá fb:like). Kompletní dokumentace je k dispozici v +1 button API.
Pokud se vám <g:plusone> značka nelíbí, je možné použít HTML 5 variantu –
Stejně jako fb:like je možné u g:plusone používat href pro určení toho, jaké adresy se bude týkat – můžeme se tedy těšit na další “likejacking” aktivity zneužívající +1 od Google. Nezapomeňte, že i pro nasazení Plus One existují Pravidla užívání. Mimo jiné zakazují i využití Google Plus One v soutěžích.

Google +1 není možné používat s Google Apps účty – stále platí to, že Google velmi pomalu tyto účty staví na roveň klasické @gmail.com účtu.Pokud chcete “+1” používat v rámci vyhledávání na Google, musíte si tuto možnost aktivovat v Google Experiments.
Ovlivní Plus One SEO a vyhledávání?
Google prozatím nezahrnuje výsledky z označení stránek pomocí Plus One žádným způsobem do hodnocení stránek z hlediska vyhledávání – v budoucnu ale k tomu určitě dojde. V Pravidlech užívání nicméně najdete zmínku o tom, že označení stránky uživatelem může vést k tomu, že Google stránku navštíví a zpracuje.

Policies
Publishers may not sell or transmit to others any data about a user related to the user’s use of the +1 Button. For the avoidance of doubt, this prohibition includes, but is not limited to, any use of pixels, cookies, or other methods to recognize users’ clicks on the +1 Button, the data of which is then disclosed, sold, or otherwise shared with other parties.
Publishers may not attempt to discover the identity of a +1 Button user unless the user consents to share his or her identity with the Publisher via a Google-approved authorization procedure. This prohibition includes identifying users by correlating +1 Button reporting data from Google with Publisher data.

Google may analyze Publishers’ use of the +1 Button, including to ensure Publishers’ compliance with these policies and to facilitate Google’s development of the +1 Button. By using the +1 Button, Publishers give Google permission to utilize an automated software program (often called a “web crawler”) to retrieve and analyze websites associated with the +1 Button.
